Contemporary Concepts® traces its roots back to a family-owned custom wood cabinetry shop begun in 1984 in Nash, Texas. Working alongside his father as a young boy, Dustin Hughes started out sanding doors during his summers and developed a love for woodwork and a passion for quality craftsmanship. After learning how to operate the company’s first CNC machine at age 17, Dustin saw a future in commercial cabinetry. In 2001, Contemporary Concepts® was born, blending the handcrafted quality Dustin learned from his father with state-of-the-art computerized equipment.

Today, CCI has quickly become a leading architectural casework mill, serving contractors, architects and individual customers across the nation. Advanced technology and skilled craftsmen combined with first-rate customer service make Contemporary Concepts® an industry leader in exceptional commercial millwork.

In 2016, as capabilities and demand increased, CCI added a full service stone division, Stone Studio by CCI®, offering a full line of stone products to residential and commercial clients. As they continued to add to their fabrication team of skilled artisans and acquire the very latest in laser equipment, Stone Studio quickly outgrew its space and the company began renovations at 700 East Broad in early 2018.

The modern, cutting-edge showroom in historic downtown Texarkana, Arkansas employs innovative techniques with exemplary service and offers a wide array of beautiful stone products, including hand-selected stone direct from quarries across the world.
